Please see Travel Fees below for applicable information. Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. CASH OR CHECK ONLY! We’re not setup to take credit cards, but prior arrangements can be made in advance for true emergency situations. DROP OFF SERVICE In some cases it may be more convenient for you, or more economical on certain projects, to drop off your computer with us instead of having us work on it at your location. One such example would be reinstalling your operating system. This process takes several (properly done takes four or more) hours and would be quite prohibitive cost wise if done at your location. However, if dropped off with us we can offer you a flat-rate at a significant cost savings to you. This is also an option to consider if your location doesn't have high-speed internet access. If you have any questions about this option, please don't hesitate to ask! HOURS OF SERVICE Our base hours of operation are as follows - Monday through Friday 9AM to 7PM Saturday & Sunday 10AM to 6PM Holidays – Closed, emergency service only. Appointments outside of these hours may be arranged in advance, schedule permitting. Please call or email us to check availability. Note any unscheduled work that must be done between the hours of 8PM and 7AM will incur the "emergency hours" rate of $80/hr, increasing to $100/hr after 11PM. TRAVEL FEES Prior to 2008 it was our policy to rarely charge travel fees. Unfortunately, due to the costs of fuel and related expenses, we’re now forced to charge travel fees to locations that exceed certain time / distance limits. This is something we’ve done with great reluctance. Be assured though that, unlike some of our competitors, we don’t charge completely non-negotiable and outrageous fee *regardless of location* just to show up at your door! In most cases if you're within a TEN mile “straight line” radius of Downtown Placerville you won’t be assessed a travel fee. In some cases you may be within the ten mile radius but still assessed a travel charge. This would be due to long travel times and/or many driven miles to your location due to very twisty roads and so forth. A general guide the approximate border of the “No Travel Fee Zone” would be – North – Coloma & HWY-49 West – Shingle Springs exit on HWY-50 South – China Hill Road & HWY-49 (South of El Dorado) East – Camino exit on HWY-50 / Pleasant Valley Road & Hanks Exchange. Following is a partial list of areas will be assessed a $10 travel fee – El Dorado Hills, Garden Valley, Kelsey, Lotus, Newtown, Pollock Pines, Pleasant Valley and Rescue. Following is a partial list of areas that will be assessed a $15 travel fee – Cool, Folsom, Georgetown, Greenwood, Pilot Hill and Somerset. Following is a partial list of areas that will be assessed a $20+ travel fee – Auburn, Grizzly Flats, Fair Play, Nashville and Plymouth.
